The most important thing you can do is keep the vehicle out of direct sunlight and avoid washing it in the 24-48 hours before your appointment. Your detailer will handle the full prep process – decontamination wash, clay bar treatment, and paint correction if needed. What you do not want is fresh bird droppings or bug splatter baked into the paint before we arrive.

Many coatings can be forgiving but others can be difficult to work with if you are not properly trained and have no experience. Many coatings cannot be warrantied if DIY is installed.
Each ceramic coating should have manufacturer specific instructions for maintenance and care. If professionally installed, many installers have maintenance programs you can sign up for. As a general rule of thumb do not take your ceramic coated vehicle through an automatic car wash unless it’s completely touchless. Hand washing with proper techniques, tools and chemicals will make a huge difference in the long run.
